  1. TITLE:   A Lock Up Results From Changing Table Format

  5. PROBLEM:

  7. The table format for the Body Text style has been changed to disable the 
  8. thousands separator.  After creating a table and typing several numbers, the 
  9. view is changed to draft mode.  In draft mode, the Table Text style is 
  10. modified to enable the thousands separator.  An hourglass appears and remains. 
  11. At this point, the computer is locked up.

  13. SOLUTION:

  15. Since the computer is locked up, it will be necessary to reboot the computer 
  16. by either pressing CTRL + ALT + DEL on the keyboard or turning the computer 
  17. off, then back on.

  19. The problem described above will occur only if the thousands separator table 
  20. format option for the style Table Text is enabled in draft mode while the 
  21. insertion point is located in an empty table cell.

  23. RECOMMENDATION: Enable the thousands separator only in layout mode.

  25. Modified Ami Pro files are available which will correct this problem.  Contact 
  26. Lotus Word Processing Division Customer Service at 404-256-2272 and request 
  27. the modified Ami Pro files that allow enabling the thousands separator for the 
  28. Table Text style in draft mode.
